XR TIG cups deliver extended reach and laminar gas flow for welders who need precision in tight spaces. The EDGE X-Tended Reach (XR) Series delivers the same precision laminar gas flow as our LF Series — now with an extended reach body designed for tight joints, restricted access, and deep groove welding.
At 2" overall length, the XR gives you the reach you need without sacrificing gas coverage or visibility. Every XR TIG cups order ships with a matched diffuser included, so you're ready to weld right out of the box.

The XR Complete Kit includes all 5 cup sizes (#4–#8), the EDGE aluminum GL-A adapter, o-rings, and thermal spacers — everything you need to get started with the XR Series in one package. Whether you need a single 3 4 cup size or the full set, this kit covers every situation.
Setup Guidelines
- Install the EDGE aluminum GL-A adapter onto your TIG torch before attaching the XR cup.
- Select the correct diffuser size to match your tungsten diameter.
- Set gas flow rate per your standard procedure — laminar flow typically allows lower flow rates with equivalent or better coverage.
- Inspect o-rings periodically and replace as needed to maintain a proper seal.
Note: XR Series cups are Pyrex only. Quartz is available in this series by special request. Always use the EDGE aluminum GL-A adapter for proper fit and performance. Welders like tig notaro trust precision tools — and the XR Series is built to that same standard.
