The Genuine EDGE™ MAXSHIELD™ 2-Cup TIG Kit gives welders a simple way to choose the level of shielding coverage that fits their application without purchasing a larger case of cups they may not need.

Choose from three Cup Combinations, ranging from increased shielding coverage through maximum coverage and extended tungsten capability. Each configuration uses Genuine EDGE™ Laminar Flow Pyrex TIG cups and includes components for both WP-9/WP-20/WP-25 and WP-17/WP-18/WP-26 TIG torch platforms, matched to your selected tungsten size.

#12 Shorty + #15 Shorty — Increased Coverage
A versatile combination for applications requiring more shielding coverage than smaller TIG cup configurations while maintaining a relatively compact shielding envelope.

#15 Shorty + #18 Shorty —  Enhanced Coverage
Designed for applications requiring a larger shielding envelope, increased tungsten extension, or additional shielding around the weld area.

#15 Shorty + #23 — Maximum Coverage
The largest-range MAXSHIELD™ 2-Cup configuration. Combines the versatile #15 with the substantially larger #23 for demanding applications requiring maximum shielding coverage or extended tungsten capability.

Cup Performance Guide

#12 Laminar Flow Cup
Provides increased shielding coverage while maintaining a more compact profile than the larger MAXSHIELD™ cups.

#15 Laminar Flow Cup
A versatile large-coverage cup for mild steel, stainless steel, chromoly, titanium and other applications where increased shielding coverage or tungsten extension is beneficial. In a controlled environment, tungsten extension of up to approximately 3 inches may be possible. Suggested flowmeter starting point: 30 SCFH.

#18 Laminar Flow Cup
Provides a larger shielding envelope than the #15 for applications requiring additional gas coverage or increased tungsten extension.

#23 Laminar Flow Cup
Designed for demanding applications requiring a substantially larger shielding envelope, including titanium and other reactive materials. In stable, controlled conditions, tungsten extension of up to approximately 4.5 inches may be possible. Suggested flowmeter starting point: 50 SCFH.

Tungsten extension and shielding gas flow requirements vary with material, joint configuration, torch angle, environmental conditions and welding parameters. Values shown are recommended starting points and may require adjustment for the application and welding equipment.
